Boroondara Harmony Brass
National Champions 2009!



Boroondara Harmony Brass have won the D-grade section at the Nationals! The competition was held in Sydney over the Easter long weekend. The band gave a consistently accurate and exciting performance over the four works played, impressing both adjudicator and audience. The players looked sharp in the new orange ties.

Boroondara's A-grade band also gave fantastic highly energetic performances over the weekend. This was the first appearance for the band in A grade so the whole organisation is proud of what we have achieved so far.

All members of both bands had an absolute ball away on the trip and can't wait for next time!

Star Class Brass Are you learning to play a brass instrument?         Are you looking for a fun ensemble to play in? Boroondara Junior Brass runs groups for people learning a brass instrument. Beginner to Grade 3 AMEB. A fun and enjoyable way to improve your playing and complement private lessons or those learning at school.  New Waves CD

New Waves CD Released! Boroondara Brass have recorded an entertaining CD, titled "New Waves". The recording features many exciting works combing the bands fresh dynamic sound with featured soloists. The CD was recorded live at Sound Research Studios, Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne. Listen to samples in MP3 format

The Boroondara Wind Symphony has been established to bring together talented, young and enthusiastic musicians!
Rehearsals to be held at: The Beau Wallace Room, Glenferrie Oval, Hawthorn.

• Open to all Woodwind, Brass and Percussion Musicians
• Minimum Standard Grade 5 AMEB or equivalent
